Saying goodbye and butterflies
WELCOME to my new blog. Excited to be here and happy to jump right in.
But first, I have to say goodbye to my old (much neglected) home for all my creative ideas.
Since I can remember I loved butterflies. To draw them, to paint them and to just look at them. Love them. They were even a very prominent symbol at my wedding. For me it symbolizes new beginnings and transformations. Letting go and saying goodbye is never an easy thing. Personally I am very sentimental and love to hold on for far too long... Therefore: BUTTERFLIES Observing a butterfly and learning how we can relate to the butterfly's stages of life, to our own life phases. Growing pains, times of vulnerability and moments of expansion... Nature can teach us so much, the impressive process of metamorphosis. And just when you think, I am not ready for change, just think of how tiny and fragile a butterfly is and the massive amount of transition it undergoes! Imagine the whole of your life changing to such an extreme you are unrecognizable at the end of the transformation. A butterfly's life cycle is about a month! So can you imagine? All of that change in one month? For me this is the lesson, the symbolic lesson if you will, directly from the butterfly. Accept the changes in your life as effortlessly and casually as the butterfly does. Keep the faith as you undergo the transitions. So here I am ready for the next chapter and the new transformation that will take place. Change is a good thing. Changing and evolving continuously is necessary and part of the process.
Excited to start this next chapter in my life.
I am excited to brand myself under my own name and use this new space to share my creative journey and the art that is my life.
If nothing ever changed there'd be no butterflies
